I usually use account as my Flickr just a place of photo storage, but lately, I have been bopping around in it for work and have started to notice all the artistic formulas and communities that are present. I recently ran into Miss Lulu & The Teaspoon Shortage aka Lucia Holm and was immediately captivated. Her doll-like hair and features and vintage touch to all of her photos are horror-like but sweet and you can't help but get sucked into her icey blue gaze. Her well thought out color schemes, make-up and clothing are lush and eerie and when I look at her work I feel I am in some 1970's slasher film set in New England. Peruse her photostream (and if you look closely you can see her cordless picture snapper, which I think adds a nice touch), as this just doesn't do her work justice...

The Sh*t: ME!

I hate posting pics of myself. HATE. IT. Besides, that's not what this sh*t is about, however, due to an overwhelming response (ok, ok, so like 2 people asked to see me, in all my "innocence"). I think my mom would agree when I say all my pictures either look like this or forcing a smile with a look of slight annoyance. I hate forced posing. I hate having my picture taken, still. Some things just never change. (Oh, and I totally have that haircut now and I pretty much still look like this too, only taller and no overalls. Gee, I really liked those overalls.)
