I was very excited to see this film after extensive Wikipedia research on the life of Marie Antoinette - The Royal Boozy Fun Floozy. Off with her head! The costumes, the scenery are glorious, the dialogue is unnervingly awful. Mute this film, pop the champers and play the soundtrack (there is a great orchestral version of Souixsie & the Banshees' Hong Kong Garden and New Order's Ceremony). While this film is a pile of Bullsh*t, it is yet another good reason to have an adult beverage.
